Latif to prove claims on Indian bookie

Former captain Rashid Latif will meet Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials today to prove his claims regarding Indian bookmaker Anu Bhatt.
An official close to the board’s legal advisory confirmed the meeting was fixed for today in Lahore. “The board has sought its legal counsels to assess the evidence that will prove his statements in the media,” said the official
Latif claims that the India bookmaker, named as a key figure by the England and Wales Cricket Board in Danish Kaneria’s spot-fixing case, was the PCB’s guest in 2005-06 when England and India toured Pakistan. The PCB rejected his claims and issued a notice after Latif remained adamant on his stance.
“We are expecting solid evidence, like hotel bills and an air ticket. The PCB adopts a zero tolerance policy towards corruption and will reach to the bottom of the matter.”
