The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have confirmed that all-rounder Paul Collingwood has undergone successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee.
Collingwood underwent the operation to remove 'loose bodies' and correct cartilage damage following the World Cup and he is anticipating a return to action in June.
He is expected to appear for Durham before being made available for England's international summer, which begins in May when they play Sri Lanka.
Having retired from Test cricket following England's Ashes success in the winter, he could return to action in the One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 International series in June.
