Pakistan women win Quadrangular Series in SL

KARACHI: Asian Games Champion Pakistan won Quadrangular Women Cricket Series in Colombo when they defeated host Sri Lanka by two wickets in a low-scoring final at P Sara Oval Colombo on Tuesday, according to a message received here.

Pacer Qanita Jalil and Sana Mir shared two wickets each as inserted to bat first, Sri Lankans were bowled out for 68 in 24.2 overs.

LE Kaushalya (23 not out) and BYA Mednis (13) were Sri Lankan batswomen reached double figures.

Pakistan women reached the target for the loss of eight wickets in 27 overs. Bismah Maroof (22) and Maria Iqbal with an unbeaten 13 steered their team to victory.
