Hard-hitting New Zealand batsman Ross Taylor has admitted Rajasthan
Royals were not performing well in IPL-4, and added that they would look
to exploit the home conditions to bring their Indian Premier League
campaign back on track against Kochi Tuskers Kerala.
The match would take place at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on Sunday (April 23).
Taylor, batsman of Rajasthan Royals, said that he was disappointed the way the team has performed in all facets of the game.
"It''s disappointing the way we played so far, but we know Tweny20 is
all about momentum, the way we are playing at the moment hasn''t been
upto the mark. We know we are a good side when we play well.
“Yeah, all facets of the game, I think probably fielding. The last
game hasn''t been as good as we would have liked, but, at the net we
know we are a good side and we gonna show that tomorrow," said Taylor.
On the other hand, Mahela Jayawardene, Captain of the Kochi Tuskers,
Kerala said that although his team does not have big Indian names but
still the team would do well with the young talents.
"It took us few games to realize exactly what would be our strength
with the team and try and get the right balance. There are some
fantastic players, if though there are no big names, Indian players but
still we have some really good young talents and some players who have
played for India who are trying hard to get back into the side.
“So, what we have done is, given those guys the opportunities and
they are really hungry for success and trying to utilise them in the
right roles in the team," said Jayawardene.
If Jayawardene''s Kochi Tuskers Kerala is enjoying its giant-killing
spree, it''s been the opposite for the Royals, losing their last three
matches.
