Shah Rukh Khan optimistic about Kolkata Knight Riders making IPL play-offs

Shah Rukh Khan optimistic about Kolkata Knight Riders making IPL play-offs

The Bollywood celebrity and owner of Kolkata Knight Riders, Shah Rukh Khan is optimistic of his team reaching the playoffs stage of the ongoing season 4 of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
“If we get a chance to play a full game then we will hopefully win. I hope we will be in the semi finals", said King Khan while talking to the media reporters ahead of his side’s crucial IPL tie against Pune Warriors India at the DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai on Thursday, 19 May, 2011
The superstar claimed that every member of his roster pursues the team’s goal and the whole squad works in coordination as a single unit towards the achievement of their aims.
Shah Rukh, who was clearly disappointed after the curtailment of his team’s match in Bangalore due to rains, expressed his concern for the team ahead of the crucial match against Pune.
"It is a big match on Thursday”, said SRK at the pre-match media conference. “We don't play individually, we play as a team. I am not tense but I am worried. Earlier at Bangalore, our match was curtailed due to rains so I felt bad”, he added further.
The Knight Riders, with 7 wins from 12 games, currently stand at number 4 on the tournament points table and need at least one win to ensure their berth in the play-off scheduled to be played on 24th and 25th of May.
The Bollywood super star had recently given a reception at his residence in Mumbai but the former KKR skipper, Sourav Ganguly did not attend the party. Asked why “Dada” was missing from the guest, the actor said that it was for all the players of Kolkata Knight Riders and he had not invited any other player stressing, had he invited any other player, they would have definitely come.
The former India skipper, Sorav Ganguly, went unsold in January’s IPL auction. Dada made a surprising entry into the ongoing edition of the lucrative league earlier this month by signing up with the IPL debutants, PuneWarriors, as Ashish Nehra’s replacement.
Since then, this would be the first time Ganguly would be playing against his former team, Kolkata Knight Riders.
