The bilateral series slated to be held in March next year could hit a road block due to the scheduling of Asia Cup in Bangladesh in March-April.
This has added to the headache of the administrators of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) who have found hard to schedule the series due to busy cricket calendar in both the countries.
A senior official in PCB was quoted in Times of India as saying, "The Asian cricket Council (ACC) and the Indians are trying to find a solution because under International cricket Council regulations bilateral tours take precedence over everything else.
"The problem is that both Pakistan and India have a packed international calendar for the next eight months and they are also instances where when Pakistan is free India is busy or when India is free Pakistan team is scheduled to play matches.”
The official also added that it’s up to the BCCI to sort out the scheduling issue.
"That is why any meaningful talks will only begin on such issues next month and after the Indian board sorts out the time slot and dates issues," he said.
