India’s out of form off-spinner Harbhajan Singh will not be a part of the team against England. Both teams are scheduled to play a five-match One Day International (ODI) series in October, 2011.
Harbhajan has been struggling for form in the recent past and failed
to make an impression in the Test series against England. He played only
the first couple of games before returning home due to an abdominal
injury.
The wily spinner announced before the Champions League Twenty20 that
he was fit to play any format of the game and is currently leading the
injury struck Mumbai Indians (MI) side.
Mean while England’s ODI skipper Alastair Cook has admitted that beating India on their home soil will not be an easy task for a young English side. The Poms outplayed the Men in Blue in every format of the game in a recently played series in the British soil. However, things will be entirely different once India play in their backyard.
Cook claimed that every player in the team will have to give his 100
percent in order to overcome the World Champions in front of their home
crowd.
Last time when both teams played on the Indian soil was in the ICC World Cup 2011. However, the thrilling encounter between them ended in a tie in the end.
