Virat Kohli urges Team India to refute Nasser Hussain

Virat Kohli urges Team India to refute Nasser Hussain – Cricket News Update
Virat Kohli, the top-order Indian batsman, has motivated his dejected team to struggle for regaining their lost pride in order to silence critics like Nasser Hussain, the former English captain, who has termed the Indian players ‘Donkeys’ after their 0-4 whitewash in the 4-Test npower series against England.
Kohli has come up to defend his team in the face of profuse criticism that is being flooded by the English media and the former players.
The young batsman claims that such type of hooting and labels do not matter at all and the Indians do not bother with them as they are confident of their capabilities.
Kohli argues that the Men in Blue have not claimed the second ICC Cricket World Cup title with the help of any miracle but with their diligence and skills.
Team India, which won the World Cup 2011 convincingly at their home ground, lost all the four Tests and their No 1 Test rank to England recently.
Following their sudden demise, cricket experts and analysts, especially the former English players, are showering curses on the Indians. However, Kohli claims that these things do not make any difference as his team will soon prove all these notions wrong.
Talking to the media, the batsman said, “Everyone has their opinion. We don't have to get angry about it and try really desperately to change it. I don't really pay attention to all of this. We just have to do what we have been doing for a while. We haven't become world champions just like that.”
He further told, “If we fielded like the remarks that have been said then we wouldn't have been world champions. I don't think these remarks should be making a difference to us. It's up to us to perform at our level best - like we have been for a while in the limited-overs format.”
Having lost four Tests and the one-off T20I, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and company are now playing an ODI series which consists of five matches. The first game ended without result and the second one is scheduled for September 6.
Kohli, who missed the Test series, is a crucial part of his team’s batting defense in the 50-over games. He lashed 55 off 73 balls in the opening one dayer.
The talented youngster played a key role in Team India’s World Cup triumph, especially in the final match against Sri Lanka.
The Delhi-born boy plays for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL), the domestic T20 tournament of India.
The 22-year-old has 3 Tests, 60 ODIs and 5 T20Is to his credit.
