Mudassar Nazar advises Waqar Younis and Shahid Afridi to settle their differences

Mudassar Nazar advises Waqar Younis and Shahid Afridi to settle their differences

The former Pakistani player, Mudassar Nazar has advised team coach, Waqar Younis and former captain,Shahid Afridi to settle their confrontations and sort things out.
"This is not the first time Afridi has given such statements, which are contrary to his contractual obligations to the PCB. In addition there are issues about his relationship with Waqar Younis, although we don't really know the full facts behind this dispute. Whatever the case, both problems can be sorted out in a second," the former coach, Nazar stated.
Nazar has advised Waqar and Afrid to sit together to resolve all the differences between them, as they had been playing cricket together for a long time.
PCB removed Afridi from his charge on May 19, the way Afridi was describing rifts in the team management openly in the media, annoyed the Pakistan cricket board.
The governing body of cricket in Pakistan has appointed senior batsman, Misbah-ul-Haq, who is already leading the test side, as the skipper of Pakistan’s One Day International (ODI) team for the 2-match series against Ireland.
However, Nazar did not support the idea of giving ODI captaincy to Misbah instead of Afridi.
"On a temporary basis its [Misbah as captain] fine, and after the Irish tour is over, who knows will be in charge of Pakistan cricket by then! Or if [PCB Chairman] Mr. Butt changes his mind and decides to bring Afridi back again. The best solution would be for Afridi to stay as captain of Pakistan's ODI Team - Misbah is doing well in the Test form of cricket, let him continue to lead in Test cricket," the former coach added.
According to the former official of PCB, it is not the right time to make changes in team, as the side has performed beyond expectations on the tour of New Zealand and during the ICC World Cup 2011.
Nazar has appreciated the experience of Afridi, asking PCB not to put unnecessary pressure on him.
